WWSPT is proud to offer new PWR! Group Exercise Classes!
PWR! was developed by Dr. Becky Farley, a physical therapist, neuroscientist and Parkinson exercise specialist. PWR! group exercise classes use repetitive training of four main skills that are used in everyday function and that become impaired with Parkinson’s Disease. All moves are performed at high effort to encourage bigger and faster movements. The main idea is to learn what optimal function feels like in order to learn how to move bigger and faster in your every day life. You will be challenged both physically and cognitively in order to “use it and improve it.”
Classes will be held Tuesdays at 2pm and Fridays at 12pm for 1 hour. The small group exercise class not only provides an environment for improving function but also provides social support and encouragement. Participants will be taught by the first PWR!MovesCertified Instructors in Bucks County. If you are ready to join the Parkinson’s Exercise Revolution, please contact us for a free screening at 215-489-3234.
